Sometimes the desire to love is stronger than love

Jan 7

That was my faithful moment.

I hate when people use God as an excuse for the immorality of their ideas. God, Allah, Yahweh. No matter which one you believe in, none of them wants you to speak in their names. Your God doesn’t want you to spread hatred through holy book quotes. Your God wants you to spread love.

The meaning of faith has been lost to religion, to extremism, to discrimination. If you believe in God, you believe in being tolerant and loving anyone like your brother, no matter how different they are. God doesn’t care about who marries who or who divorces who. God isn’t about rules, restrictions and superstitions, he is about hope, fraternity and respect. The only rule you will find him to give you is to spread love. Always. No matter what your Church says, no matter what your priest says, no matter what your books say, that is what he wants.

Having faith is committing to this idea. You can sure not believe in God and share those ideals, but you can not claim to serve your God if you don’t agree with those principles. Stop playing God, stop misinterpreting his will, stop trying to be his spokesperson, stop wondering what he says about any topic. Be your own judge, think by yourself with the faith he gives you and accomplish his true will: spreading love.
